Das Deutsche Patent- und Markenamt bewahrt die Wiedergabe des Designs (§ 7) auch nach der Löschung der Eintragung im Designregister dauerhaft auf. Für sonstige Wiedergaben, deren Rückgabe nicht beantragt worden ist, gilt dies entsprechend.
