Werden oder sind bei einer Mittelbehörde eine oder mehrere Landeskassen errichtet, so kann eine Landeskasse Kassengeschäfte für mehrere Bezirke oder für Teile davon wahrnehmen. Die Landeskassen können unmittelbar dem zuständigen Präsidenten oder der zuständigen Präsidentin unterstellt werden.
